"SRC – Saskatchewan Research Council - greatly values its membership of CHOA. SRC attends many of the technical lunches and regularly participates at the annual “Slugging It Out” and “Heavy Oil Conference” events.
In addition to providing topical and relevant perspectives on industry developments they provide excellent opportunities to network with prospective clients and to reconnect with existing customers.
As an example, the February 2016 lunch on “Partial Upgrading of Western Canadian Bitumen and Heavy Oil – Opportunities and Challenges” – relevant to SRC’s long experience and existing work in this area - led to new and additional conversations that promise to help facilitate collaboration on the urgent development and field deployment of technologies focused upon enhancing the value of the heavy oil and bitumen we supply, vital to a key Canadian industry and to our wider economic prosperity."
- Paul Paynter, Business Development Director - Energy, SRC
For over 29 years the Canadian Heavy Oil Association (CHOA) has been the premier forum to obtain heavy oil and oil sands technical, business and industry information, as well as provide networking opportunities through events. The CHOA is a multi-discipline, volunteer-based, not-for-profit association. CHOA is not a lobby group, and is proud of its membership of individuals.
