Presentation: Innovation Update: SRC and CanmetENERGY
The Saskatchewan Research Council and CanmetENERGY of the Natural Resources Canada, will outline in general terms, what each of the organizations involvement is in oil and gas.
Each of the participants will detail innovative work underway or completed in above ground facilities including oil, water and steam facilities. In addition, they will highlight any areas of study in oil upgrading or partial upgrading innovation.
Darren Anweiler, M.Sc., P.Eng.
Darren Anweiler received a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan in 1987, and a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering focusing on advanced process control from the University of Saskatchewan in 1990.
Darren was hired by DuPont Canada Inc., Kingston, Ontario where he worked in both research and manufacturing for 15 years developing polyolefin and polyamide technologies through stages from R&D to commercial application.
Darren joined the Saskatchewan Research Council in 2005 to focus on the development of technology for the conversion of biomass to ethanol through gasification and catalysis. In his current position as Manager of Process Development, he is managing a research team focused on the development and demonstration of process technologies with oil and gas industry focus on partial upgrading, emulsion treatment, energy/water integration, and emissions reductions.
