Heavy Oil 101 - Session 3 - Upgrading, Refining and Marketing including Pipelines

Heavy Oil 101 is a comprehensive overview of the heavy oil industry. It is an ideal course for students or professionals who are looking to have a greater understanding of the overall industry and the role their skill of trade plays. The course is particularly timely this year and will address the recent changes in the industry as well as a focus on new technology and innovations.
Industry experts provide one hour modules on a range of topics. Normally the course is run as a one day session, however, through the U of Alberta CHOA Student Chapter it is being offered instead as a series of four evening sessions on campus. Those interested can register for a single session or for all four sessions.

Session 2 - Recovery Processes and Surface Facilities – February 15, 2017
Session 3 - Upgrading, Refining and Marketing including Pipelines – March 15, 2017
Session 4 - Environmental, Technologies, Innovations and Social Impacts – March 22, 2017
