InnoTech Alberta – Back to the Future?

As of November 1, 2016 InnoTech Alberta was established by the provincial government as an incorporated business that performs applied research in Alberta. This is nothing new as under previous incarnations, the heritage organizations have delivered applied research to these sectors for nearly a century. This presentation will cover the background to the establishment of InnoTech Alberta and its position within the new provincial innovation ecosystem. Specific client-based project examples will be used to highlight the nature of the support that InnoTech Alberta and its predecessors have been able to offer to clients including managing collaborative efforts, technical evaluations and cooperative projects with post-secondary institutions.

Presented by: Ross Chow- Innotech Alberta
