CHOA depends heavily on its volunteers to make its programs run successfully.

Do you have what it takes to be a CHOA volunteer? It only requires you to have a passion for the heavy oil industry and be willing to give freely of your time.

In return you have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the programs and activities of the CHOA
• Develop volunteer experience and hone work-related skills
• Work and network with CHOA peers

Volunteers contribute to CHOA’s different operational committees such as:

•    Technical Committee and related sub-committees
•    Social Committee
•    Editorial Committee
•    Edmonton Chapter Committee
•    Fall Business Conference Committee
•    Slugging It Out Conference Committee
•    Sponsorship Committee

There are also numerous opportunities for “day of” assistance, such as:

•    Fall Business Conference or Slugging It Out Conference
•    Special Events (like the CHOA “A Conversation With…” Speaker Series)
•    Technical Lunches or Beer and Chats
•    Representing CHOA at its booth at various trade shows and conferences
